The excursion kicks off at 2:00 p.m. from Naciones Unidas Boulevard, heading directly to the "Middle of the World City," where we will encounter the iconic monument that marks the division between the planet's northern and southern hemispheres.
This offers us an opportunity to engage in a one-of-a-kind experience that defies the laws of physics at the on-site museum, where we'll interact with various exhibits to grasp the unique phenomenon occurring at 0º latitude.
We will explore the Coriolis effect, and the Earth's precession and nutation movements through the Gyroscope, discover why we weigh less in this city, and learn about centrifugal force.
You will enjoy free time to capture stunning photos with one foot in the north and the other in the south, and explore the sensory, photomontage, and touch screen rooms where we can gather information about Ecuador's diverse regions, immersing ourselves in their culture, cuisine, and tourism.
Upon concluding our visit to this remarkable site, we have the opportunity to stamp our passport with the “From the Center of the Planet” seal before commencing our return journey to the starting point in Quito.
